Come Up To My Room

DTAH participated in Come Up To My Room 2015(CUTMR), the Gladstone Hotel’s annual alternative design event. Orange Crush, the DTAH Public Space – Green Roof installation is an ode to the construction wave. A celebration of growth, prosperity, and sustainable optimism. This installation reflects on the moment when the boom swings overhead, casting shadows of transformation below. The city we live in cloaks itself in orange plastic.

The  CUTMR exhibition, curated by DTAH‘s  Robert Cram as well as Jaclyn Blumas and Caitlin Plewes, has been bending disciplinary boundaries and exploring new ground for over a decade by inviting artists and designers to engage in dialogue and collaboration, and to show us what goes on inside their heads.

New in 2015, CUTMR extended its run to 10 days of design, with new programming, an exciting band night, and a symposium for Toronto’s largest alternative design exhibition.
