Robert Allsopp



Robert is a landscape architect, planner, and architect (U.K.) with over 45 years of experience. He joined DTAH in 1979 and has been a partner since 1985. His principal interest is in the field of urban design and he has extensive project experience in Canada and abroad. The range of work he has undertaken for public, institutional, and private sector clients has provided extensive understanding and skill in working with multi-dimensional planning/urban design projects.

In 2008, Robert was recognized with the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects Pinnacle Award for a body of work demonstrating outstanding professional accomplishment. He also received the Royal Institute of British Architects’ Soane Medallion, a Fullbright Scholarship award, and a Canada Council Arts Award. Robert was a Professor of Landscape Architecture with the Faculty of Architecture Landscape and Design at the University of Toronto from 1979 to 1997, and was a member of the City of Toronto Design Review Panel from 2007 to 2012.
