Carleton University Master Plan

The 2010 master plan by DTAH reflects the significant changes that have occurred at Carleton University in Ottawa since the last plan was published in 1998. These changes include growth in preparation for the expanded secondary student cohort and the introduction of a rail transit stop in the heart of the campus.

The master plan proposed by DTAH comprise a number of new projects that enhance the quality of life at this compact campus tucked between the Rideau River and the Rideau Canal, such as a renovated and enlarged campus centre and communal space, a proposed arrivals forecourt to act as a proper reception zone, improvements to the existing tunnel system, and a more accessible riverfront with native plantings and seating areas.
