East Bayfront Precinct

The East Bayfront Precinct will be a mixed used community of approximately 6,000 residential units and 185,000 sq. m of office and commercial space. The 24 ha. site will be the first of the new waterfront neighbourhoods east of Yonge Street within the former industrial waterfront, ultimately extending to the Port Lands and Lower Don River revitalization areas.

DTAH in joint venture with WEST 8 of Rotterdam are leading a multi-disciplinary team in the design of the public realm including the streetscapes, water’s edge promenades and storm water treatment facilities. The firm is also responsible for urban design of the proposed LRT extending east along Queens Quay.

The East Bayfront Precinct includes the Water’s Edge Promenade (East), which was completed in 2010. Construction continues on the 13-acre Bayside mixed-use community, between Lower Sherbourne Street in the west and Parliament Street in the east, which is designed to meet LEED ND standards.
