Bank of Canada Renewal wins Award of Excellence

The Bank of Canada Renewal, led by Perkins+Will in collaboration with DTAH as the landscape architects and public realm designers, has received a 2017 Award of Excellence - Public Places and Civic Spaces from the Ottawa Urban Design Awards

The awards, handed out every second year, celebrate projects built in the City of Ottawa that achieve urban design excellence and were built in Ottawa between September 1, 2015 and September 1, 2017. Projects that received an Award of Excellence will represent Ottawa in competition for the 2018 Royal Architectural Institute of Canada’s Urban Design Awards program.  

Jury Comment

"The project adds a complex geometry of site and opens access to new space below; a new amenity space in downtown core. It incorporates a thoughtful treatment about what the space would look like in the evening."
