Intermediate Landscape Architect

DTAH is an award-winning landscape architecture, architecture, and urban design firm recognized for projects that contribute to a memorable public realm. We provide the highest level of professional service in a truly integrated studio setting that is stimulating, disciplined, congenial and enjoyable. We work hard, we produce great work, and we take pride in our accomplishments.

We are currently looking for an Intermediate Landscape Architect to fill a full-time position in our studio. Project types will include public parks and plazas, waterfronts, transit infrastructure, ecological design, institutional/campus landscapes.

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience with full OALA membership required;
  • Strong technical knowledge and detailing abilities;
  • Site construction experience required- 5-6 projects min.
  • Excellent communication skills, a good team member;
  • Strong time-management skills with experience in complex, multi-disciplinary projects;
  • Ability to balance multiple projects with consecutive/overlapping schedules and delivery dates;
  • Working knowledge of Toronto Green Standards and LEED;
  • Experience and comfort with producing CAD/Details and Construction Documents;
  • Advanced AutoCAD and BIM/Revit skills; experience in SketchUp and MicroStation an asset.

As a smaller studio of under 50 staff, DTAH is highly collaborative and invested in professional development.

Our supportive, mentorship culture allows everyone to explore professional interests and gain exposure to a broad range of projects. We offer staff a variety of opportunities for professional development as well as social events.

We regularly host in-house professional development sessions and learning opportunities here at the studio. We also provide an allowance for professional development to support the growth of our staff.

Social Events

In the past we have hosted watercolour painting workshops, volunteered together in the community, and ran gardening initiatives with our in-house Green Team. In light of remote working, we now host monthly virtual events.
