Albion District Library in Canadian Architect
Image: Albion Library; Photo by DoublespaceThe new Albion District Library, designed by Perkins+Will with DTAH as the landscape architects, was recently featured in the November 2017 issue of Canadian Architect. As one of the busiest libraries in the city, the Toronto Public Library decided to build a new library on the underutilized parking lot beside the existing library to allow for operations to continue during construction. The new library includes three courtyards and a plaza that provide outdoor space for the community while allowing for greater natural light within the building.
