Reimagining Danforth and St Clair: Scarborough Junction

Scarborough Junction is an exciting future mixed-use development in south Scarborough led by development partners Republic Developments and Harlo Capital. DTAH are landscape architects as part of a planning and design team led by Giannone Petricone Associates with Bousfields Inc., BA Group, and Hatch. The team offers experience with award-winning mixed-use projects across Toronto and the GTA.

Scarborough Junction is a 26-acre site at the intersection of Danforth Road and St Clair Avenue East. The proposed development includes new residential, retail and public amenities at a key site adjacent to the Scarborough GO station. An application for rezoning the area has been submitted to the City of Toronto, detailing proposals shaped by extensive community engagement.

The new development will tie together several established neighbourhoods to create a master-planned, transit-oriented community. The plan uses the site’s unique location to offer new public parks and urban spaces, access to existing amenities, new employment opportunities, and diverse, accessible housing for the Scarborough community.
