The Landscape Architects Network has named the Simcoe WaveDeck among 10 Surprising Tourist Spots for  Landscape Architecture in North America.

Opened in 2009, the Simcoe WaveDeck is one of seven wavedecks included in West 8 + DTAH’s award winning Toronto Central Waterfront Design Competition entry, stretching along the redesigned Queens Quay Boulevard from Bathurst to Parliament. They extend the public realm out over the lake in a playful imitation of the iconographic Canadian Shield shoreline.
